A transport price should help you make a decision with confidence. Understanding what is locked, what is included, and what you have agreed to ship is how that confidence becomes practical.
Transportation is often one part of a much larger plan. You may be relocating your family, purchasing a collector vehicle, coordinating a dealership transfer, or budgeting for a commercial shipment. Once those plans are underway, uncertainty about the transport bill can affect everything around it.
Elevation Transport Services’ Price Lock Guarantee addresses a simple concern: knowing what price you can rely on for the shipment you have arranged.
Your shipment needs a plan. Your budget deserves a commitment.
What a locked transport price means
When your shipment is covered by our Price Lock Guarantee, the locked transport price applies to the shipment and services identified in your written agreement, subject to its stated terms. That gives you a specific amount to plan around and a written record to refer to throughout the move.
The useful question is more specific than “How much does shipping cost?” It is: “What exactly am I booking, and which price has been confirmed for that service?”
Before booking, ask your coordinator to identify the locked amount, when the lock takes effect, what is included, and any conditions that apply. A quote request starts that conversation; the written shipment agreement records the arrangement.
A dependable price starts with the right shipment details
Accurate information helps the transport team plan the right equipment and service. For vehicle shipping, that includes the year, make, model, operating condition, pickup and delivery locations, and whether you want open or enclosed transport.
Commercial vehicles and machinery can require a more detailed review. Dimensions, weight, attachments, loading arrangements, site access, and receiving availability may all affect the job being priced. If you are arranging equipment or fleet transportation, ask which price-lock provisions apply to your specific shipment.
A complete description gives both sides a shared understanding of what will move and how it will be handled.
Know what is included before you compare prices
A useful quote makes the total understandable. Confirm the transport service, the costs included in that amount, any separately arranged services, and the payment schedule. If a deposit forms part of the transport total, count it as part of that total when comparing offers.
For specialized moves, clarify loading and unloading responsibilities, permits or escorts where applicable, and any stated waiting-time or access conditions. An unanswered question is something to resolve before booking.
Our Equipment Transport Quote Comparison Worksheet helps commercial customers organize those details in one place.
Understand the difference between a locked price and a changed shipment
A change to the work can require a review of the agreement. Adding another vehicle, selecting enclosed transport after requesting open service, changing the destination, or discovering that a vehicle cannot operate can change the transportation requirements.
Notify your coordinator as soon as a detail changes. Ask whether the original arrangement still applies, what any proposed revision covers, and how it will be documented under your booking terms.
For illustration, consider a customer with a confirmed locked transport price of $1,500 for one vehicle on an agreed route. That amount provides a clear transportation budget for the described service. Adding a second vehicle introduces additional work that needs its own review. This example explains the difference in scope; it is not a shipping-rate offer.
Questions worth asking before you book
When does my price become locked?
Have your coordinator confirm the activation point in writing for your booking. Keep that confirmation with the shipment description, payment terms, and service agreement.
Does a locked price guarantee a pickup or delivery date?
Price and scheduling are separate parts of the arrangement. Review the pickup window and delivery expectations independently, and obtain any specific scheduling commitment in writing.
Does the guarantee apply to every kind of shipment?
Confirm eligibility and the applicable terms for your particular vehicle, equipment, or multi-unit project. A commercial shipment should be reviewed around its own requirements.
What if I receive a price or charge I do not understand?
Contact your Elevation coordinator with your written confirmation and ask what the amount covers, whether it was included, and which agreement provision applies. Clear documentation makes that conversation easier.
