A Seasonal Move Has Two Schedules

Your flight or travel date is one schedule; the vehicle shipment is another. Elevation Transport Services coordinates seasonal car shipping between residences throughout the continental United States, including moves to and from Florida, Arizona and other seasonal destinations.

Start with when the car can be released and when someone will be available to receive it. That lets us review carrier availability without assuming the truck can arrive at the exact moment you do. Pickup and delivery dates are estimates, so leave room for changes in the transport schedule.

Seasonal shipping is part of our Auto Transport services. The choice of open or enclosed equipment depends on the vehicle and its protection requirements, not simply the season.

Before You Leave

Choose the earliest realistic vehicle-ready date rather than your flight date alone. Tell us whether you need to keep using the car until departure, whether your home will be closed and who can release it if the transport window extends beyond your travel plans.

Share community restrictions, gate instructions and whether a large transporter can stop safely at the address. A nearby meeting point may be needed where access is limited. Confirm who has the keys and can participate in the pickup inspection.

When You Arrive

Identify who can accept delivery and when the property becomes accessible. If you arrive after the possible delivery window, arrange an authorized representative in advance. Do not assume the driver can hold the vehicle until your flight lands or leave it unattended.

Keep a backup plan for local transportation while the vehicle is in transit. Tell us about any change to the receiving address or contact promptly so the delivery arrangement can be reviewed.

Plan the Return Trip Without Locking in Assumptions

Tell us your approximate return month when discussing the outbound shipment. We can note the expected reverse route, then review vehicle readiness, access and available transportation again as the return date approaches.

The return move is a separate shipment. Do not assume the same carrier, price or transit estimate will apply. A change in vehicle, residence, travel date or transport method should be included in the new review.

Choose Protection to Suit the Vehicle

Open transport is an option for standard cars, SUVs and pickup trucks. For a luxury, restored, classic or collector vehicle, discuss enclosed shipping and any ground-clearance or handling requirements before scheduling.

If the car has been in storage, confirm its current operating condition before requesting transport. Tell us about a dead battery, flat tires, lost keys or any other condition that could affect loading; do not describe a vehicle as running based only on its condition before storage.

Details to Have Ready

  • Pickup and delivery addresses, including community or building access restrictions.
  • Vehicle year, make, model and current running condition.
  • The earliest release date and availability of contacts at both residences.
  • Your preferred open or enclosed option and any vehicle modifications.
  • Approximate return-trip plans, with the understanding that availability and pricing will be reviewed separately.

Questions About Seasonal Vehicle Shipping

Can the truck pick up and deliver on my flight dates?

Share those dates as planning constraints, not guaranteed truck appointments. Carrier availability and the route determine the workable transport window. Arrange a representative or an alternative travel plan when your own dates are fixed.

Can I pack the car with household belongings?

Do not use the car as a substitute for a household move. Ask about the specific carrier’s restrictions before placing anything inside. Personal items are not insured as part of your vehicle transport, and anything not approved should be removed.

Is this service only for Florida snowbirds?

No. We review seasonal residence-to-residence moves across the continental United States. For South Florida-specific planning, read our Boca Raton snowbird shipping guide, which covers local access and Florida–Northeast move considerations.

What affects the cost of my seasonal shipment?

The quote is reviewed against the direction of travel, route, dates, equipment, vehicle size and condition, and carrier availability. A previous year’s shipment is useful context but is not a promise of the same price or timing.
